The Composing Process

If you’ve ever been to college, then you likely remember the old”writing essays” in high school or college. Writing essays was always a chore. Today, however, it is just as easy to write one as it is to find an A in English (or any academic topic for that matter).

An essay is, generally, simply a bit of writing that presents the author’s argument, but sometimes the definition of an essay is quite vague, encompassing those of a paper, a letter, an article, and pamphlet, and even a short story. From the 21st Century, writing essays has become an art form unto itself. Pupils spend years perfecting their writing abilities before submitting their work to a faculty or a publisher for it to be published in a book, document, or essays on a particular topic.

So, just what is essay writing? Essays are written to answer a query, current data, or create an observation. The objective of composing essays is to provide information in a persuasive manner. Students use their writing abilities to maintain their points and convince the reader that their main premise is true. Students also use their writing abilities to both support and oppose perspectives that they believe to be false.

When writing essays, the author should first decide what the focus will be in the course of the mission. Some students choose to compose a response to an essay they are studying or planning to read; others want to write a survey to answer a question that they have been requested. Next, when the focus has been decided, the writing process starts.

Much like any other skill, practice makes perfect. Students must take a moment to analyze the newspaper and see what parts of the writing are weak and what parts are strong. Then, as they unveil the essay, they need to have a little time to go over most of the weak sections and work to reinforce them. During the writing process, students need to be careful not to copy previous paragraphs word for word. Rather, they ought to rewrite each paragraph to coordinate with the style and structure of their writing assignments.

Essay writing is very similar to other kinds of writing; nonetheless, when composing essays it is important to not forget that the objective is to persuade the reader to accepting a point of view, or to at least consider that the author’s standpoint. By way of example, if the author wants to argue that the general topic of the essay is the dinosaurs roamed the earth before humans, they must first demonstrate dinosaurs roamed the earth. They can accomplish this by writing a summary of just how different species occupied the ground before humans and then presenting their debate in this way that it makes sense and is based in scientific fact. As the student reworks their essay, they need to keep in mind that the goal is to convince the reader that the writer’s point of view is the correct one, rather than simply stating facts.
